Sorry for my lack of post recently, kinda lazy to write after my exams.

After 1 month of mugging, did some travelling to 2 places in Australia, to reward myself for studying hard during exams. Haha, guess I won't be back in Australia anytime soon after my graduation, so I better visit other parts of Australia while I'm still here.

It was a last minute decision to go to Tasmania but anyway I didn't regret of going there. If you are the kind of person that enjoys nature, Tasmania is a must go place. A great escape from the fast moving pace of life in the city.

Joanne and I flew to Lauceston which is the 2nd biggest city in Tasmania. We had some trouble with navigation, haha, what do you expect? girls are hopless in map reading. It's kinda of frustrating when all the buildings look more or less the same. On the other hand, we really enjoyed getting lost, made our trip a little more adventurous.

On the 1st day, we went to explore the places near our backpackers lodge. It took us about 20 minutes walk to town. The town resembles Toa Payoh central, haha. We were so exhausted after whole day of walking that we simply knock out once we got onto our beds. By the time we woke up, we had dinner at the cafe in the backpackers.

2nd day, we went to the cradle gorge nature reserve and did a little bit of tracking. On our way there we saw this beatiful waterfall, so we decided to spend 15 bucks to enter to take a good look at it. Guess what? It's a man made waterfall!!! Felt majorly cheated cos we thought it was natural. Oh well, what to do?

On our 3rd day, we went on a 1 day guided tour with tiger wilderness. Our tour guide, Lee, is a very friendly and experience guide. He took us up to the cradle mountain, temperature there was about -2 degrees!! It was freezing cold and it's my first time seeing snowfall! Woo hoo! According to Lee, the air in Tasmania is the cleanest in the world. Well, it sure smell great! We also saw some glow worms during the cave trip. Though we didn't get to see the wild tasmania devils but we managed to catch sight of some wild wombats. Not only that, I made some new friends during the tour and we decided to rent a car and travel down to Hobart on the 4th day.

Before heading to Hobart, we stop by at coles bay to enjoy the beach. Since I was the only person in the group with a driving license apart from my Melbourne friend, I had to help to navigate. It wasn't easy but I tried my best. Guess my navigation skills improved after this trip, haha.

On the 5th day, we managed to catch the Cadbury chocolate factory tour. No photo taking is allowed and we had to wear shower cap during the tour. Suddenly, we were like charlie and those kids with the golden tickets, visiting the chocolate factory. Haha. Coco beans were roasted in Singapore and send to Tasmania to be made into those tasty chocolates. Yummy!

On the last day in Hobart, went to Salamanca market which is an outdoor market that sells all sorts of things from food to children's toys. There were 2 stalls selling this fruit leather which I find it interesting. They come in different flavours, they are fruits that are dried and pressed. Pretty weird texture but taste great.

Then we had to travel all the way back to Launceston to catch the flight to Melbourne, lots of roadkill of walibees and wombats along the highways. Poor animals!

Next, I'll talk about my Sydney in my next post.
